Friday market in Merano

Friday is market day…

From April to November, the large Merano weekly market awaits you on Praderplatz by the railway station. You can reach the market in 90 minutes on foot via the cycle path at the Chalet Resort Innerluferhof, or take bus route 240 to Merano.
The weekly market offers traditional leather goods, traditional costumes, shoes and hiking outfits, as well as a wide selection of culinary delights.

shh shh Insider tip: Get off the bus at Rennweg in Merano and stroll along Meinhardsstraße through the entire market. Then take the bus back from the station.

Lake Montiggl

Fancy a dip in the mountain lake?

Pack your swimming gear and drive to Eppan (40 mins) to the Montiggl car park. After a short walk, you’ll reach either the large or small Lake Montiggl. Find yourself a cosy spot by the lake.

What could be better than kicking off the evening with an aperitivo after a relaxing (=successful) day’s holiday?

Recipe for 1 glass of Aperol Spritz

1 slice of orange for garnish
90 ml Prosecco (dry or extra dry)
60 ml Aperol
30 ml sparkling water or carbonated mineral water
Ice cubes (preferably large, clear ones)

shh shh Fun fact: The aperitivo is more than just a drink – it’s a social ritual: people meet up, chat and enjoy the transition from day to evening. Snacks are a must.

The spa town and the provincial capital of Bolzano offer numerous boutiques and shops to browse.
Use the Guest Card and travel by bus and train.

Sunrise at the Fleckner

The early bird catches the worm…

The hike to the Flecknerspitze starts at the Jaufen Pass. After a short walk, you can witness a spectacular sunrise.
Set off early enough and wrap up warm. Even in the height of summer, the early morning hours are very chilly. Don’t forget your torch!

shh shh Side note: The actual sunrise – from the first light to the sun becoming visible – can take up to 30 minutes. Depending on location and season.

Spend the day by our pool and plan your upcoming barbecue evening. Every chalet has its own gas barbecue, which you’re welcome to use. The tranquillity at the Chalet Resort Innerluferhof invites you to linger, take a deep breath and relax.

Something special:
Mix mustard, honey, vinegar and olive oil – this makes the perfect sauce for grilled cheese!

shh shh Myth: Salting meat before grilling does not automatically dry it out. If you salt it early enough (30–60 mins), the salt initially draws out moisture, which is then reabsorbed – and the meat actually becomes more flavourful.
