Looking for a holiday home in South Tyrol with room for the whole family? Chalet Azalee is one of our two chalets that sleep six: 75 m² of living space, two bathrooms and a 65 m² private sun terrace that is all yours. The chalet is in Riffian, just a seven-minute drive from the spa town of Merano, set among our orchards at the entrance to the Passeier Valley.

Your private sun terrace

The terrace is the heart of Chalet Azalee. Its 65 m² offer cosy lounge and relaxation corners, sun loungers and a parasol. The covered dining area stays usable even during a summer shower, and the private gas barbecue is ready whenever you want the evening to last.
Because the terrace is level and step-free, everyone can get everywhere, from the little ones in their playpen to guests who are less steady on their feet. The same goes for the whole way in: there is not a single step between the car park and the apartment.

Room for up to 6 guests

The layout is made for families: a double room for the parents, a triple room with a bunk bed for the children, plus a sofa bed in the living area. With two bathrooms with rain showers, nobody has to wait in the morning.

The large kitchen-living room is fully equipped with a ceramic hob, large fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. So you can cook just as you would at home, but you don’t have to: our farm shop sells produce from our own farm, and on request we bring you fresh bread rolls every morning.

Riffian – just minutes from Merano

Riffian lies at the foot of the Texel Group Nature Park, where the Passeier Valley begins. Merano is a seven-minute drive away: close enough for an afternoon at the thermal baths or on the Tappeiner Promenade, and far enough away to enjoy real peace and quiet in the evening.

Hiking trails start right outside the door. The Rösslsteig climbs up above Riffian, and the Passer embankment path follows the river down the valley. You can reach both on foot without getting into the car first. If you prefer a gentler pace, walk the Schenna Waalweg along the old irrigation channels. Cyclists set off on the Merano–Passeier cycle path, which runs practically past our front door.

In winter, the Naif valley station of the Meran 2000 ski area is a ten-minute drive away.

Included for all chalet guests

The heated pool at around 28 degrees and the hot tub (whirlpool) at 32 degrees are open to you from April to early November, even on cooler days. The Finnish sauna is free to use from October to March and available for a small surcharge in the summer months. On top of that there are fresh eggs from our hens every morning, bread rolls to order and rental bikes right on the cycle path.

Is Chalet Azalee right for you?

Chalet Azalee is a good fit if you are travelling as a family or in a group and value plenty of outdoor space.
